Ion Chicu claims that Moldovan apple exporters are facing resistance from the National Agency for Food Security.
Despite the willingness of the Russian side to accept export shipments of Moldovan apples, agricultural producers encounter obstacles from the National Food Security Agency (ANSA), former Prime Minister Ion Chicu said on one of the TV programs.
According to him, the obstruction of exports creates a situation that is not normal from an economic point of view.
“The other day I had a meeting with several exporters who want to sell [to Russia]. They say that even those companies that have received permits from Rosselkhoznadzor are now being prevented by our ANSA from issuing documents. In my opinion, some kind of meeting with Mr. Boley (Minister of Agriculture of Moldova. – Ed.) to resolve these issues. Because apples are now stored in refrigerators, and electricity is not cheap. Therefore, when the market opens and someone interferes, this is not a normal situation,” – said Kiku on the air of one of the TV programs.
Earlier, the Rosselkhoznadzor announced that it was gradually opening up the market for Moldovan products. Thus, the export of agri-food products from Moldova to the Russian market is allowed in total 52 for Moldovan enterprises.
However, the head of the department, Sergei Dankvert, said on Russian TV that in the absence of the desire to cooperate on the part of the competent department of Moldova, he was forced to work with individual enterprises.
